This is while we pass --quiet twice. I suggest to only print the first line,
which is verbose enough. Also I like to have a parameter like --ignore-timeouts.
This way I can run with that parameter normally and only once a day without the
parameter to get to see the problems.
Another option is a daily mail with the results of all scans, but that's a bit
more work I guess....

We have a lot of mirrors. In general it seems one of them is always down. Which
means at every scan we get a mail:
Sat Mar 31 09:20:22 2012 ftp.somemirror.fi: rsync timeout...
DIE: (/usr/bin/scanner 1091 main::rsync_get_filelist => /usr/bin/scanner
1207 (eval) => /usr/bin/scanner 1207 main::ANON)
DIE: (=> /usr/bin/scanner 314 main::rsync_readdir => /usr/bin/scanner 1091
main::rsync_get_filelist)
ftp.funet.fi: [#2, id=35 pid=15013 exit: 1024]
This is while we pass --quiet twice. I suggest to only print the first line,

You are right. This is needless and annoying clutter.
And the request for timeout option is good, too.
